US-based Stanford University has named 20 professors from Egypt’s Al-Azhar University among its list of the world’s top two percent of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines.

President of Al Azhar University Mohamed El Mahrasawy has expressed his happiness over the results of the “fair” report.

The report consolidates the trust of the global scientific and research circles in the scientists and researchers of the university in all fields and specializations, he added.
