200 new coronavirus cases, 93 recoveries and 7 deaths were reported in Syria on Saturday, according to the Health Ministry.

A statement by the ministry showed the total number of the recorded coronavirus cases in Syria has reached up to 44,899 till now, of which 26,932 have recovered, while 2,613 others have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was registered on the 29th of the same month.
