Pilgrims Housing Committee in Makkah Continues to Receive Applications for Issuing Housing Permits for Pilgrims for Hajj Season 1446AH

The Pilgrims Housing Committee in Makkah continues to urge citizens who own buildings intended for pilgrim housing and those who wish to rent their homes to pilgrims to visit the authorised engineering offices to finalise the procedures for the issuance of the requisite permits.

The Holy Makkah Municipality clarified that the committee began accepting applications on 01/01/1446AH and that the process will continue until the end of Rajab 1446AH. Permits will be issued until the end of Sha’ban.

The municipality has requested that all owners of buildings who wish to rent their buildings adhere to all requirements and provide the necessary safety and security elements to prevent delays and in accordance with the regulations of construction and safety. Applicants must submit their applications through engineering offices in advance.

Over 5.7 Million Worshippers Perform Prayers at Prophet’s Mosque Last Week

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque said that the Prophet’s Mosque received 5,735,016 worshipers last week, amid integrated and high-quality services, allowing crowds to perform their prayers smoothly and efficiently.

The authority-issued statistics showed that 527,152 visited the Prophet’s Mosque, and 258,752 visitors performed prayers at Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa, according to organizational procedures that control the movement of the crowds and schedule times for optional prayers for men and women.

The statistics also showed that 26,811 people benefited from translation services.

Field services included the sterilization and disinfection of 25,225 liters of water. Additionally, 1,590 tons of Zamzam water were distributed, and 196 samples were collected for examination and analysis. To support fasting individuals, 257,277 Iftar meals were distributed at designated locations within the Prophet’s Mosque.

Saudi Arabia, Maldives Sign MoU on Seaplanes, Airstrips

Minister of Transport and Logistic and Chairman of the Board of Directors of General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser signed today MoU in the fields of seaplanes and airstrips between the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Maldives.

The MoU was signed by the Maldives Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mohamed Ameen, in the presence of GACA President Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, on the sidelines of a visit by a delegation from the Maldives to the Red Sea Destination.

The MoU aims to enhance cooperation in the field of seaplanes and airstrips to provide a safe air transport environment in accordance with international best practices. It also aims to implement regulations aimed at ensuring the safety and security of seaplane operations and their development.

The Red Sea Destination is being developed responsibly for people and nature by Red Sea Global (RSG), which is dedicated to creating world-class sustainable tourism destinations
in Saudi Arabia. RSG owns the first seaplane company in the kingdom, Fly Red Sea, headquartered at the Red Sea International Airport, which connects visitors to the stunning resorts located on the various islands of the destination through a variety of options, including seaplanes.
