Saudi National Team Wins 2-1 against China within AFC Asian Qualifiers

The Saudi national football team emerged victorious over its Chinese counterpart with a score of 2-1 in the match that took place today at Dalian Suoyuwan Stadium in China, which is part of the AFC Asian Qualifiers for the World Cup 2026.

The Chinese national squad made the first advance in the 14th minute, and Hassan Kadish scored the first goal for the Saudi team in the 39th minute.

To earn three crucial points on the road to qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Kadish scored the winning goal in the second half with a header in the 90th minute. With this win, the national team’s point total at the end of Group C’s second round is four.

Kuwait Crown Prince condoles with Moroccan King over heavy rain victims

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent on Tuesday a cable of condolences to Moroccan King Mohammad VI, over the victims of the heavy rains that poured on several regions.

In the cable, His Highness the Crown Prince expressed deep sentiments and prayed to Almighty Allah to bestow the deceased with mercy and the injured with speedy recovery.

Aramco Unveils New Initiatives to Drive Digital Development

Aramco, one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, unveiled new initiatives aimed at driving the development and deployment of advanced digital solutions across its operations. These initiatives were disclosed during the Global AI Summit (GAIN), which began at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.

Aramco’s Executive Vice President of Technology and Innovation, Ahmad Al-Khowaiter, said: ‘New digital technologies such as generative AI and the Industrial Internet of Things are expected to transform not only how we work, but also our commercial environment. Aramco is pioneering the use of these technologies at an industrial scale to add significant value across our operations. Our history of innovation inspires us to continue harnessing emerging technologies and help realize the Kingdom’s ambitions to become a global AI leader.’

During the Global AI Summit, Aramco signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Cerebras Systems and FuriosaAI to explore collab
oration in supercomputing and AI. Another MoU with Rebellions focuses on the potential deployment of the company’s Neural Processing Unit chips in Aramco’s data centers to enhance digital infrastructure and drive advanced AI innovations.

Aramco also signed an MoU with SambaNova Systems to explore ways to accelerate AI capabilities, innovation, and adoption across the Kingdom.

In addition, Aramco announced the deployment of an AI supercomputer, one of the first systems of its kind in the region. Powered by some of the most powerful NVIDIA graphical processing units (GPUs), it is designed to accelerate complex computing tasks, such as analyzing drilling plans and geological data to recommend optimal well placement.

Aramco has also collaborated with Qualcomm Technologies on the initial deployment of industrial generative AI solutions on the edge, aimed at enhancing facility monitoring, predictive maintenance, and the use of autonomous drones.

These initiatives are part of Aramco’s broader strategy to ado
pt cutting-edge digital solutions across its business. This builds on the company’s launch of the Saudi Accelerated Innovation Lab (SAIL) – a national engine to transform innovative ideas into fully functional products – and its Global AI Corridor ecosystem. Aramco’s approach has led to the creation of its first large language model (LLM) for industrial AI applications and the launch of the Eye on AI Program, which aims to establish robust AI cybersecurity governance, equip users with essential cybersecurity skills, and adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Year of the Camel Initiative Showcases Saudi Heritage at National Cultural Awards

– The Year of the Camel initiative for 2024, launched by the Ministry of Culture, participated in the closing ceremony of the fourth National Cultural Awards to showcase its cultural significance and the deep-rooted relationship between Saudis and camels.

A special pavilion at the ceremony, held at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh, featured a rock engraving of camels and a screen displaying camel engravings from various regions of the Kingdom. These exhibits highlighted archaeological evidence and unique landmarks that reflect the pride and admiration Saudis have held for camels since ancient times.

The Year of the Camel aims to preserve the cultural heritage associated with camels. The initiative celebrates camels as a cultural symbol, a living witness to Saudi authenticity, and an important element of Saudi culture. It also seeks to highlight the connection between Saudis and camels and their impact on daily life.

Kuwait condemns Israeli occupation new massacre in Khan Yunis

The State of Kuwait strongly condemned the new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces against innocent displaced Palestinians in Khan Yunis southern Gaza Strip.

In a statement Tuesday, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said this brutal targeting of defenceless civilians, including women and children, is clear evidence that the Israeli occupation forces are waging an extermination war against the Palestinians in flagrant violation of international and humanitarian laws.

The ministry renewed Kuwait’s calls to the international community and the Security Council to take rapid action to stop the war of extermination that these forces have been waging on the Strip since October 2023.

SDAIA, Tourism Ministry Establish AI Center for Excellence to Develop Operational Processes for Tourism

The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) signed here today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Tourism to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) center of excellence. The center aims to support the activation and development of AI technologies in operational processes to enhance the quality of the tourism sector, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The MoU was signed by Head of the National Data Management Office Alrebdi bin Fahd Alrebd, and Assistant Minister of Tourism Anas bin Abdullah Al-Sulaie on the sidelines of the 3rd Global AI Summit (GAIN Summit).

The memorandum aims to develop a methodology for integrating data and AI applications to evaluate activities and projects in the tourism sector.

Foreign Minister Participates in 2nd Meeting of Arab Ministerial Liaison Committee on Syria

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the second meeting of the Arab Ministerial Liaison Committee for direct dialogue with the Syrian government, held on the sidelines of the 162nd Arab Ministerial Meeting in Cairo.

Several Arab countries and Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit took part in the meeting, which discussed strengthening the Arab role in settling the Syrian crisis and addressing its political, security, and humanitarian consequences.
