21st Session of the Arab Committee for Electronic Media Commences in Cairo

The 21st meeting of the Arab Committee for Electronic Media began today here, at the Arab League headquarters.

Arab media agencies specialized in electronic media are attending the event.

In his opening remarks, Arab League Assistant Secretary General and head of the Media and Communication Sector Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi said that the meeting focuses on the follow-up and implementation of decisions taken during the 54th regular session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, held in Bahrain. Among these decisions is the UAE invitation, transmitted through the UAE Media Council, to design and launch a website for the Arab Committee for Electronic Media by the end of this year.

Khattabi emphasized that the new website will be consistent with the principles outlined in the Code of Conduct adopted by the Council of Arab Information Ministers. Its goal is to strengthen Arab media’s presence in the digital space.
