260 International Specialists Translate International Chemistry Olympiad Questions into 50 Languages

On the second day of the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Riyadh, supervisors and team leaders of the participating delegations are working on translating the practical exam, which will be taken by 333 students from 90 countries in the coming days.

The practical exam is scheduled to be translated today into over 50 languages spoken by the participating countries, with the participation and supervision of 260 international specialists in chemistry. They will approve the final versions of the exam before distributing them to students.

On Monday evening, the coaches and supervisors of the participating delegations visited the laboratories and held an expanded meeting to discuss the practical exam before approving it for translation.

This year’s International Chemistry Olympiad is organized by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education and King Saud University. It is exclusively sponsored by the Saud
i Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).

The International Chemistry Olympiad is an annual international student competition focused on chemistry activities. It aims to enhance international communication in chemistry and stimulate the activities of students interested in chemistry by providing independent and creative solutions to chemical problems.
