As many as 74 scholars from Cairo University have been included in a list of the best 2% scholars in the world in accordance with Multiple Citation Indicators, said President of Cairo University Dr. Mohamed Osman Elkhosht.

He added the University was placed in first position in Egypt for the second year with a largest galaxy of its scholars being listed in the Indicators.

The world best scholars list was published last October and included 55 scientists from Cairo University, according to him.

This year, the University inched up by 34% and included 74 scholars, added Elkhosht.

He mentioned Cairo University is topping various university rankings conducted by reliable scientific institutions.

Elkhosht said the University is among the best 1% universities worldwide.

He, meanwhile, congratulated the chosen scholars in different specializations in the University, commending efforts they exert in scientific research and higher education.

The list includes scholars from different world countries in the various fields.
