A SAUDI RELIEF PLANE ARRIVES AT ALEPPO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

A Saudi plane carrying relief for those affected by the earthquake arrived at Aleppo International Airport on Wednesday.

“We extend our condolences to the brotherly Syrian people and to the families of the quake victims, and we pray for a speedy recovery for the injured,” Director of Medical Affairs at Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Mohammad al-Tuwaijri, said in a statement to SANA’s reporter at the Airport.

He noted that this is the second plane to arrive from Saudi Arabia to Syria, carrying 35 tons of relief materials, including more than 17,000 baby formula packages, medical supplies, tents, and devices that help in relief operations.

Al-Tuwaijri added that coordination is continuing between the Saudi Red Crescent and the Syrian Red Crescent to provide more aid, whether through air or land border crossings.
