MP Bilal Abdallah called Monday via his Twitter account for relinquishing the functions of the Lebanese-Syrian Supreme Council, “in wake of Lebanon and Syria’s formal diplomatic exchange and the presence of an embassy in both countries.”

Abdallah considered that “the persistence of said Council has become redundant and no longer necessary at this stage, especially with the measures to reduce public expenditure.”

“The same applies to the Palestinian issue with the presence of an embassy of the Palestinian Authority in Lebanon,” he pointed out.
