ACSAD holds a conference on sustainable management of land resources

On the occasion of World Soil Day, The Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) on Sunday held the first Arab Virtual Scientific Conference on Sustainable Land Resources and Water Consumption with the participation of 16 Arab countries.

Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Eng. Mohammad Hassan Qatana underlined the need for formulating a national strategy for the management of natural resources, the application of the results of scientific research and the exchange of results of successful initiatives.

In a statement to the journalists, Qatana pointed out to the need to develop scientific studies as part of an Arab resource management strategy to meet challenges and cooperate to achieve food security.

In turn, Director General of ACSAD Nasruddin al-Obaid said that than 200 experts, scientists, researchers and officials from Arab countries attende the conference.
