Activities of first edition of “Wounded of the Homeland” Games kick off in Lattakia

Wounded of the Homeland” Sports Games kick off on Friday with the participation of about 100 wounded of total disabled people in various sports at al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia.

The competition will last for five days with Arab and international participation.

“The Wounded of Homeland project” said in a briefing posted on its official Facebook page that the wounded participants of the Syrian Arab Army, the Internal Security Forces and the supporting forces will compete in swimming, ping-pong, basketball, badminton, athletics and physical strength games, along with participants from the Russian Federation and Iraq.

The project added that the wounded participants in the course underwent qualitative training for a month and a half under the supervision of specialized coaches from the General Sports Federation to develop their skills and stir their unlimited capabilities to compete in the games.
