Syria’s permanent representative to the UN, Bashar al-Jaafari, said that canceling a UN Security council session on the human rights in Syria indicates the awareness of the majority of member states as discussing this issue is not in the capacity of the Council.

Al-Jaafari added in a statement Monday that canceling the session is an important political message to the western states which try to manipulate the Security Council.
