Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdel Karim Ali, said after his meeting at the embassy headquarters in Yarzeh with the Central Committee for the Return of Displaced Persons in the Free Patriotic Movement that “Syria needs the return of its sons. It has indeed achieved victory at a great percentage and has eradicated terrorism from most of its lands. It is even safer than the countries of refuge.”

“The Syrians know that hospitalization, education and the basic needs are available to them [in their country] more than in all the countries where they reside today,” he said.

Ali stressed that “it is necessary to reassure the displaced that Syria is a safe country now. (…) Cooperation with the Lebanese State is governed by the interest of the two countries as the terrorism that hit Syria has his Lebanon as well.”
