Bahrain gives full priority to setting up an advanced and viable social safety net system to further support national sustainable development, said the Minister of Social Development Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor.

He praised the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He hailed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives, while chairing the weekly Cabinet meeting, to double the disbursement of allowances for people with acute disabilities by 200 dinars per month.

“The move reflects HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s keenness to secure premium social services for all social segments”, he said.

He announced that the allowances for people with acute disabilities will be deposited in their bank accounts on June 15.
