An economist to / NINA /: The rise of oil prices must be exploited by approving a supplementary budget for the current year
Baghdad Economic expert, Raad Twaig, stressed the need to approve a hypothetical supplementary budget for the current year after the rise in global oil prices.
Twaig said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that with the increase in oil prices to 69 dollars and the increase in revenues to 6 billion dollars this month and the possibility of a large cash surplus, a hypothetical supplementary budget must be decided and made of a productive developmental nature that increases business activity in the Iraqi society. “
He pointed out, “the need to empower Iraqi women, as they are more than half of society, by preparing a plan to transform Iraqi women into a productive woman through industry and sewing on a large scale, and that this plan be within the supplementary budget in order to replace them from imports of clothes that take more than 10 billion dollars annually.”
Twaig continued, “we must take advantage of the rise of oil prices, which rise to $ 70, in a supplementary budget to employ 20 million Iraqis. “
