ARABS STRESS NEED TO PRESSURE SYRIA TO RESPOND TO WILL OF INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
CAIRO, Egypt, Arab foreign ministers in their emergency meeting of the Council of the Arab League on Syria said that, the continuation of the tragic situation in Syria, poses a threat to Arab national security and global stability
They also stressed the need to impose the necessary pressure, on the Syrian government to respond to the will of the international community, represented in the UN resolutions.
Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, said before Monday’s meeting at the headquarters of the Arab League, its condemnation of all the terrorist acts that have taken place in the Arab countries, pointing out that, the Syrian government bears responsibility for the tragedy in Syria.
He said, “The Syrian government is the one who refused to enter into any serious negotiations, continued the killing of his own people and brought terrorist organisations and sectarian militias into Syria, including the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.”
He called for putting pressure on the Syrian government, to reach a political solution.
