Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, and his wife, Doris Schmidauer, left Beirut this morning, winding up an official four-day visit to Lebanon.

President der Bellen held talks in Beirut with President of the Republic General Michel Aoun and House Speaker Nabih Berri, on the bilateral relations and the current situation in the region.

Discussions also covered the displaced Syrians’ issue.

Bidding Der Bellen and his accompanying delegation at the International Rafic Hariri Airport had been Caretaker Minister of State for Combating Corruption Nicolas Tueni, representing President Michel Aoun.

Also bidding him farewell at the airport had been Austrian Ambassador to Lebanon, Marin Warba, and other dignitaries.
