Bahrain, Oman review cooperation in professional and technical sectors

Representatives from Labor Ministry, Education Ministry, and Nasser Vocational Training Center (NVTC) met with Omani delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, to discuss cooperation.

The meeting reviewed exchanging expertise between the Omani ministry and NVTC, and the development of partnership between the two countries to benefit from the promising opportunities in the GCC region for the professional and technical sectors.

This comes upon the announcement of Oman’s Education Ministry about offering vocational and technical education in schools, starting from the upcoming academic year 2023-2024.

Dr. Abdulla Naser Al Noaimi, NVTC Executive Director affirmed the center’s efforts that focus on supporting various industries and sectors, and providing students with skills that suit the needs of the labor market.

Dr. Al Noaimi added that the center, with the support and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, seeks to implement the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 by developing specific plans and initiatives that achieve this vision.

He pointed out that NVTC under the continuous support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of NVTC, offers multiple specializations such as technological innovation that include artificial intelligence and cloud computing, the engineering track that combines energy sciences and engineering, sports and business administration.
