The Ambassador of Bahrain to Belgium Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al Doseri headed the delegation participating in the sixth meeting “To support the future of Syria and the region” held at the European Union at the Council’s headquarters in Brussels.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell continued urging the international community to maintain the sustainability of its efforts to support the Syrian people and push for a political solution that would end the Syrian crisis.

Donor countries pledged 6.4 billion euros to help the Syrian people and refugee-hosting countries, in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2254.
