President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Bashar Al-Assad, received the credentials of Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Damascus. This took place at the People’s Palace, in the presence of Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mansour Azzam.

The ambassador conveyed the greetings of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and their wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Syrian Arab Republic and its people.

For his part, the Syrian President requested the ambassador to convey his greetings to HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its brotherly people of further growth and prosperity. He also wished the ambassador success in carrying out his diplomatic duties.
