Ban leaves Beirut heading to Baghdad
Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, left Lebanon via Rafik Hariri International Airport on Saturday morning bound for Baghdad onboard his private jet.
Ban was on a two-day visit to Lebanon during which he met with numerous officials and visited Syrian and Palestinian refugee camps.
Seeing him off at the airport were: Director of Protocol at the Foreign Ministry Ambassador Mira Daher, the Special Coordinator of the UN in Lebanon, Sigrid Kaag, the commander of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon, Gen. Luciano Portolan and a number of international forces’ officers.
