Moscow, SANA- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Envoy of Russian President , Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow , Riad Haddad, developments of situation in Syria and the region.

Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the meeting talks dealt with issues related to pushing the political solution to the crisis in Syria forward, based on Security Council resolution No.2254.

Haddad briefed Bogdanov on a number of urgent issues set on the agenda of the Syrian-Russian Permanent Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

The Russian side expressed condolences to the families’ victims of the explosion that took place in Damascus on Wednesday.
