Italian House Speaker, Laura Boldrini, left Beirut on Tuesday evening on way to Italy, winding up a two-day visit to Lebanon where she held talks with House Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, and Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Jibran Bassil.

Boldrini also inspected her country’s contingent operating within UNIFIL in south Lebanon, and visited one of the Syrian refugee camps in the Beqa.

Boldrini held a joint press conference with her Lebanese counterpart Speaker Berri at Ain Tineh residence.

Seeing her off at the International Rafic Hariri Airport have been Speaker Berri’s Representative MP Michel Moussa, Italian Ambassador Massimo Marotti, and Embassy senior staff.
