Car Bomb Kills Many Turkey-Backed Rebels In Northern Syria
DAMASCUS, A car bomb tore through a checkpoint of Turkey-backed rebels, in northern Syria on Tuesday, killing many rebels.
The car bomb ripped through the checkpoint in the countryside of Ras al-Ayn, in the northern countryside of Hasakah Province, northeastern Syria, near Turkey.
Many rebels were also wounded and later transported to hospitals, inside Turkish territories, it added.
Meanwhile, the Syrian army continued to deploy in the western countryside of Tal Tamr area, in the Hasakah countryside, in tandem with consolidating positions in the northwestern countryside of the province.
The deployment comes, as part of a deal mediated by Russia last month with the Kurdish forces.
The Syrian army concluded the deal with the Kurdish forces, in the control of areas in northern Syria, to help face the Turkish military campaign against Kurdish-controlled areas in northern Syria, that has been dragging since Oct 9.
