DAMASCUS, Syria and China signed two cooperation agreements worth US$16 million to provide humanitarian aid and reactivate other ties in economic sectors, official sources confirmed here.

In 2004, the two countries penned agreements on agriculture, tourism, oil and gas, among other sectors, which will be reactivated now, according to local media.

Representatives of Syria’s Planning and International Cooperation Commission and the Chinese Embassy here signed the latest deal.
