Abdul Ghaffar Ziad al-Bardan, man from Tafas city in the western suburbs of Daraa, was shot dead on January 26, 2023, by gunmen we have not been able to identify yet on the streets of Tafas city.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights condemns all acts of killing targeting civilians. We call on the controlling parties to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians living in areas under their control, and to launch an investigation into this incident and make its details known to the public. Syria will never have true stability without a true political transition process to implement democracy under a concrete timetable.
