The body of Khaled Ibrahim al-Dandal, a grains vendor from al-Nouhiya al-Gharbiya village in the eastern suburbs of Idlib governorate, was found on December 9, 2022, by local residents, bearing multiple gunshot wounds, near his car that was parked near al-Fattira IDPs Camp to the north of al-Bardaqli village in the northern suburbs of Idlib governorate.

The area is under the joint control of armed opposition factions and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham. The Syrian Network for Human Rights has not been able to identify the party responsible for Khaled’s murder as of this writing, with the controlling forces bearing responsibility for identifying his killers.
