Comprehensive Services in 51 Languages Offered to Visitors of Grand Mosque of Makkah


Makkah, The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque offers a wide range of services in 51 languages to assist visitors to the Grand Mosque of Makkah.

A dedicated team of 74 translators, comprising both genders, are stationed at key arrival points throughout the day. These locations include King Fahd Gate, King Abdulaziz Gate, King Abdulaziz Gate (Ajyad), Bab Al Salam, Ajyad Bridge, Al-Safa, Third Saudi Expansion, and Entrance to Al-Masaa.

This encompasses access to scheduled information, enabling visitors to easily find prayer times, current lessons and lectures, and museum/exhibition visiting hours. Additionally, the service provides cultural and historical insights about the Grand Mosque, along with relevant contact numbers. Dedicated information centers serve as a central hub for inquiries regarding all Grand Mosque services, translation services, and live broadcasts.

The authority is actively developing additional resources to further enhance visitor e
xperience. These initiatives include the distribution of headphones, enabling visitors to access live broadcasts of sermons and lessons. Furthermore, the authority is collaborating with service providers within the Grand Mosque to equip them with verbal translation skills, allowing them to assist visitors in multiple languages. Designated FM radio channels also broadcast sermons and lessons, maximizing accessibility for non-Arabic speakers.

The general authority’s commitment to comprehensive support in 51 languages ensures a welcoming and informative experience for visitors from all over the world. This fosters a deeper understanding of the Grand Mosque’s significance and enriches their overall visit.
