Concluding Nahr Bared Camp rehabilitation project by 5 million Euros grant
The project of rehabilitating Bahr Al Bared Camp for Palestinian refugees ended up on Wednesday, with the Italian government granting a 5 million Euro amount in favor of the project.
An event was held for the occasion at Monroe hotel in Beirut, in presence of Italian Ambassador Massimo Marotti, Development and Reconstruction Council head Nabil Jisr, and others.
Marotti confirmed his country’s support for stability in the region “through this project and for Lebanon’s stability at the political, economic and social levels.”
The Ambassador said that the international community was responsible for finding proper opportunities to launch the peace process in the Middle East region, considering that there is an opportunity to hold negotiations in this regard in case a coordination has been set between the Europeans and USA.
He added that his country stood beside Lebanon to support it as concerning the issue relevant to the presence of displaced Syrians and Palestinians in Lebanon.
