Education Minister and Canadian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Discuss Scientific Collaboration

Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, met with the Canadian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jean-Philippe Linteau.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for scientific collaboration between the Kingdom and Canada across various domains including general and higher education, scientific research, and innovation, as well as future cooperation opportunities between the two countries.

The meeting also addressed the available educational opportunities for the Kingdom’s citizens following the addition of Canada as one of the new scholarship destinations within the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program. This move aligns with the Program’s strategic goal of broadening the spectrum of educational choices available to the Kingdom’s youth, facilitating their access to esteemed global academic institutions.

Moreover, the meeting delved into the modalities of collaboration between Saudi and Canadian universities and the exchange of scientific and research endeavors among educational establishments in both nations. It also encompassed an examination of prospects for educational investment within the Kingdom.
