Education Ministry, Samsung Electronics sign MoU

The Ministry of Education has today signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung Electronics.

Under the deal, the two sides will cooperate to step up the use of technology in delivering the ministry’s goals in the fields of digital empowerment and artificial intelligence.

The agreement also aims at providing opportunities for evaluation and experimental use of products and technology available by students and teachers, in addition to holding technical workshops and training courses.

Undersecretary for Policies, Strategies and Performance Nawal Al Khater sealed the deal with Doohee Lee, representative of Samsung Electronics.

The ceremony was also attended by Bin Hindi Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer and board member Abdulaziz Abdulla bin Hindi, Assistant Undersecretary for Services Haitham Isa Al Sahli and other specialists.

A specialized workshop was held on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, focusing on the company’s most important products and innovations in the field of education, next-generation technology, and the future smart projects.

It also highlighted the company’s successful strides in the field of using smart devices in education, outlining ways of optimizing such advanced devices in the educational process.
