Egypt on Sunday expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with Nigeria over attacks that targeted the northwestern part of the country and left over 200 victims of innocent civilians dead.

The Foreign Ministry reiterated in a statement that Egypt backs the Nigerian government and people to counter all forms of violence.

Egypt also offered its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
