CAIRO, Egypt and Saudi Arabia on Monday affirmed their rejection of all illegal practices that aim at undermining the Palestinians’ legitimate rights.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that this came in a phone contact conducted by Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

The statement said the two ministers discussed the rapid developments on the Palestinian arena and latest Israeli storming of courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the contacts that have been conducted by Egypt in this respect.

Shurki stressed on the necessity that Israel must bear the responsibility toward these breaches, as the international law stipulates, and secure protection of the Palestinian civilians.
