Eleven Soldiers Injured in Terrorist Attack on Homs-Masyaf Highway.


Damascus: Eleven soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army were injured on Monday in a terrorist attack that targeted a military transport bus on the highway between Homs and Masyaf. ‘As a military transport bus was passing on Homs-Masyaf highway near the crossroad of Al Haisa village, an explosive device planted next to the road went off, leaving 11 army personnel injured, one of them in a critical condition,’ a source in Homs Governorate told SANA reporter, adding that the wounded were admitted to a military hospital for receiving treatment.

According to Syrian Arab News Agency, the attack occurred when the military bus was traveling along a crucial route connecting the cities of Homs and Masyaf. The explosive device was strategically placed next to the road, targeting the bus as it passed near the crossroads of Al Haisa village. The injured soldiers were quickly transported to a nearby military hospital where they are currently receiving medical care. One soldier is reported to be in critical condition, prompting
urgent medical attention.

The incident underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region, as terrorist groups continue to target military and civilian infrastructure.
