Brussels: The European Union (EU) has denounced the recent attacks carried out by remnants of the deposed regime in Syria’s coastal region, urging all parties to respect Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

According to Syrian Arab News Agency, in a statement issued Monday, the EU Spokesperson stated: “The European Union strongly condemns the recent attacks launched by Assad-loyal elements against the forces of the interim government in Syria’s coastal areas, as well as all acts of violence against civilians. Civilians must be protected under all circumstances, with full respect for international humanitarian law.”

The spokesperson further emphasized the EU’s position, calling on all foreign actors to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The statement also condemned attempts to undermine the stability and prospects of peaceful transition, highlighting the importance of respecting all Syrians.
