FAO Delegation Visits Ministry of Agriculture’s Branch in Asir


Abha, A delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) visited the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in the Asir region today to inspect the experiment involving the cultivation of improved varieties of millet and sorghum in collaboration with the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program “Reef Saudi.”

The Abha Seed and Seedlings Station has spearheaded the experiment, introducing 24 varieties of sorghum and 12 varieties of millet.

The FAO delegation, during their visit, examined the new experiment, its objectives, and potential benefits.

This initiative aligns with the objectives of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in promoting the cultivation of improved varieties and advancing agriculture overall.
