FAYYAD CAST HIS VOTE IN BATROUMINE, BOUND FOR SYRIA TO PARTICIPATE IN RENEWABLE ENERGY CONFERENCE

Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayyad cast his vote this morning in his hometown of Batroumine, praising “the organization of the electoral process. 

“Today we did our patriotic duty,” the minister added.

After casting his vote, Fayyad went to Syria at the invitation of his Syrian counterpart, Minister of Electricity Ghassan Al-Zamil, to attend the Renewable Energy Conference in Damascus, where he will meet on the sidelines of the conference with the Minister of Oil and mineral wealth, Bassam Tohme.

Both sides will work with the two working teams to complete an agreement for the transfer and exchange of Egyptian gas, which arrives through Jordan to Syria and then to Lebanon.
 
It is also expected that the minister will meet the Syrian Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy during his two-day visit.
