First batch of Syrian olive oil arrives in Crimea
Damascus, In framework of the economic, and commercial cooperation agreements signed between Syria and Crimea, the first batch of olive oil arrived at the Russian Crimea Peninsula on Wednesday.
Minister of industrial policy of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Vasyuty said in a statement published by Russian TASS Agency that the first batch of the Syrian olive oil arrived by the beginning of the current month, asserting that a second batch will arrive to Crimea soon.
Vice-Chairman of the Syrian-Russian Business Council and a member of the Committee of Lattakia Export Chamber Myasara al-Haji told SANA in a statement that a first batch of Syrian olive oil arrived in the beginning of the current month to Crimea in the framework of the agreement signed with Crimea last August on the sidelines of the last edition of Damascus international Fair.
He indicated that next week a new batch which consists of 32 tons of olive oil will be sent to Crimea to increase the quantities of the exported olive oil to reach from 100 to 200 tons per a week till carrying out the agreement which provided for exporting 1500 tons in the upcoming stage.
Syria and Crimea signed last August an agreement on bolstering trade and economic cooperation between the two countries within activities of the 61st edition of Damascus international Fair.
