Deir-Ezzor, SANA- The activities of the first international conference began on Monday in the Faculty of Science at Al-Fourat University in Deir-Ezzor under the title of “Mathematics and its Applications” with the participation of several Arab, friendly countries and private and public universities.

“Al-Fourat University, whose facilities were sabotaged at the hands of terrorist organizations, has begun to recover,” The Rector of al-Furat University, Dr. Taha al-Khalifa said during the opening ceremony of the conference.

He noted that holding the conference is an indication of the university’s progress in the course of enriching research and scientific work in various disciplines to raise the scientific level in University.

Al-Khalifa pointed out to the distinguished participation of the Arab and friendly delegations, particularly the brotherly Iraqi delegation.

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and the supervisor of the conference, Dr. Riyad Hamidou, said that the number of researchers participating in the research exceeded 30 participants.
