Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is set to hold talks with Oliver Varhelyi, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, on Sunday.

The meeting, which will be held at the Foreign Ministry’s premises, is set to probe means to strengthen strategic ties between Egypt and the European Union.

The commissioner will start a two-day visit to Egypt on Sunday, where he will take part in the Cairo Water Week.

Varhelyi will also have meetings with ministers and respective officials to shed light on important partnership between the EU and Egypt.
