Fourth session of Saudi-Bahraini Joint Consular Committee held in Manama

Manama, The fourth session of the Saudi-Bahraini Joint Consular Committee was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Isa bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs at Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Ali bin Abdulrahman Al Yousef, Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Al Nuaimi expressed Bahrain’s commitment to hosting the fourth session as part of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council’s initiative to enhance cooperation between the consular departments of both ministries, titled “Enhancing communication and cooperation between consular entities in the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.”

He emphasised that this meeting underscores both sides’ commitment in enhancing consular cooperation between the two kingdoms. He highlighted that these efforts align with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, th
e Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the governments of both kingdoms led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Al Nuaimi praised the significant achievements in consular collaboration, particularly in aviation matters, consular services in non-represented countries, and enhanced judicial and security coordination. He expressed optimism for further constructive dialogue to deepen consular, diplomatic, and political cooperation between both foreign ministries.

On his part, Ambassador Al Yousef lauded the strong historical relations between the two kingdoms, noting the continuous growth in various sectors, particularly consular services. He reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to building on the achievements of the committee’s previous sessions and enhancing services for their citizens.

The meeting reviewed joint efforts, discussed vari
ous initiatives, and explored opportunities for exchange of expertise. It also addressed several topics on the agenda related to the committee’s scope of work.
