GCC chief hails Gulf youth as “nat’l treasure”

GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi said on Tuesday that GCC member states strive to harness their potentials for the Gulf youth as they are considered a “national treasure”.

Al-Budaiwi made the remarks on the occasion of the GCC’s second anniversary of the Gulf Youth Day, which falls on June 6, according to a statement released by the GCC General Secretariat.

The GCC chief emphasized that the occasion came unpon the direction of the GCC leaders, reiterating their unwavering commitment to fulfilling their aspirations of Gulf young people.

He underlined the significance of engaging youth in development, making use of their capabilities and skills and creating opportunities to enable them to fulfill the GCC countries’ aspirations for sustainble development.
