Gender Balance Committees of the Council of Shura and the Council of Representatives held a meeting to discuss updates and joint activities and the implementation of gender balance plans between the two secretariats.
The Representatives Council Committee is chaired by Dr. Yasser Saqr Al Shirawi, Assistant General Secretary for Resources and Services and the Shura Council Committee is headed by Dr. Fawzia Yousif Al Jeeb, Assistant Secretary-General of Relations Affairs, Media and Research.
The meeting discussed plans for cooperation with strategic partners, especially the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) and other authorities, in order to continue consolidating the status of Bahraini women.
Al Shirawi affirmed that regular meetings between the two committees are held with the aim of monitoring the implementation of plans, programs, and cooperation efforts between the two general secretariats towards promoting
gender balance in all streams of work.
