Grospic: Unilateral coercive Western measures imposed on Syria “inhuman”

Deputy Chairman of the Czech Moravian Communist Party, Dr. Stanislav Grospic, renewed his condemnation and rejection of the continued imposition of unilateral coercive Western measures on Syria, describing them as “inhuman”.

Grospic said in a video broadcast on the party’s website on Facebook today that “these measures are imposed at a time when Syria is successfully confronting terrorism as well as direct aggression against its sovereignty by the United States and Turkey,” stressing that the sanctions and economic blockade will not achieve their schemes to target Syria.

Grospic noted that the former colonial countries such as Britain and France are trying, in cooperation with the Turkish regime and the United States, to prevent the stability of the situation in Syria, which represents a blatant interference in its internal affairs and a flagrant violation of UN Security Council’s resolutions and the international legitimacy.
