Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, on Wednesday held a meeting with a delegation of the European Union, comprised of Deputy Head of EU delegation to Lebanon, Martin Lassen Skylv, and Director General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, Simone Licomati.

Talks reportedly touched on the mechanism of transporting the EU humanitarian aid to Syria via Lebanon.

During the meeting, Hamieh stressed that “Syria and Lebanon are one in the face of the repercussions of the earthquake,” thanking the EU for the aid it provided to Lebanon in the wake of the Beirut port blast and that it intends to offer to Syria.
