The Head of the French parliamentary committee for the protection of Eastern Christians, accompanied by a delegation from the French agency for development and the French embassy, conducted this Wednesday a tour of the locality of Ras Baalbek, where he was welcomed by the region’s dignitaries with whom he discussed the launching of developmental projects in the region.

French embassy spokeswoman, Sabrina Hobert, said embassy officials are touring all the Lebanese regions to assess their needs, noting that Lebanon is one of the region’s countries most affected by the flow of Syrian refugees.

She said the embassy had increased French aid to 164 million Euros, to support Lebanese regions, within the context of genuine partnership between Lebanon and France.
