The Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 75 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 19 other cases recovered while 5 passed away.

In a statement, the Ministry said that the total number of the coronavirus cases reported in Syria has reached up to 26,554 till now, of which 22,202 have recovered, while 1,947 have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first death was reported on the 29th of the same month.
