Damascus: Syria and Germany have discussed means to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the health sector. This discussion took place during a meeting that brought together Dr. Zuhair Qarrat, Director of the Planning and International Cooperation Directorate, and a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
According to Syrian Arab News Agency, the German delegation was led by Tatia Loman, Head of the Syria Projects Package at the Agency. The talks focused on the potential implementation and support of health projects, as well as the rebuilding and rehabilitation of health facilities in Syria. There was also an emphasis on supporting health services provided to citizens.
Both parties highlighted the importance of improving the health sector by training and qualifying human resources. Additionally, there was a discussion on technical support, which includes the provision of modern and advanced equipment from Germany to aid in these efforts.
