Damascus: Health Minister in the caretaker government, Dr. Maher al-Sharaa, discussed with a delegation from the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) ways to revitalize the health sector in Syria.

According to Syrian Arab News Agency, a meeting was held at the Ministry’s headquarters where the two sides explored methods to enhance services and tackle health challenges across various governorates. Dr. al-Sharaa highlighted that the Ministry has formulated a response plan to address crises and surmount obstacles in the health sector. The goal is to operate at full capacity to upgrade the quality of health services delivered to patients.

Dr. al-Sharaa emphasized the significance of ongoing collaboration with international and local organizations and institutions. This collaboration is deemed essential for the Ministry to achieve its objectives of elevating healthcare standards and advancing public health systems.
