Health Ministry Explores Partnership with MedGlobal on Health Initiatives


Damascus: Hussein al-Khatib, Deputy Acting Minister of Health, engaged in discussions on Wednesday with a delegation from the humanitarian medical organization MedGlobal to explore avenues for enhancing collaboration in the health sector.



According to Syrian Arab News Agency, the meeting, which took place at the ministry’s headquarters, saw al-Khatib express the ministry’s readiness to work with MedGlobal within the legal framework. This collaboration aims to serve patients’ interests and ensure the delivery of essential health services. Al-Khatib emphasized the significance of organizational collaboration in identifying and addressing necessary needs, adhering to a priority-based operational strategy.



Dr. Anas Barbour, MedGlobal’s country representative in Syria, reiterated the organization’s commitment to focusing on critical areas. These include mental health support, assistance for former detainees, restoration of health facilities, and training and rehabilitation programs.
